THE WILLARD BUILDING Built at the turn of the century, the historic Willard Building is noted for its unique “onion skin” turret overlooking the corner of Broadway and Spruce. The renovation included restoring the second level of the building and completely redesigning the ground level in a historically compatible manner. It was imperative that the new design preserve history but still accommodate the needs of the building’s retail tenant, GAP Kids. The exterior features restored brick and native stone accents with a storefront window/door system that ties in with the building’s historic character while embracing today’s demand for highly visual merchandizing. |
